Mustapha Njie (commonly known as TAF ) was born in the West African State of The Gambia. He owns and manages Gambia 's leading indigenous and most successful construction company – TAF CONSTRUCTION LIMITED, which was incorporated in January 1990.

After over a decade of active and rewarding performance in the construction industry, TAF consolidated all TAF's operations into TAF HOLDING CO. LTD . TAF HAS brought together an unified system of management control and has a composite staff of 500.

TAF is considered as one of the most dynamic young Gambian entrepreneur today, and a shining example of the breed of private sector entrepreneurs to lead his country into the 21 st century. In this regard, the Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry popularly decorated him with the coveted award of “Business Man of The Year – 1992/93" and 2004.

As evidence of his business acumen, TAF received both national and international accolades. In 1998, he was honoured with the European Council Global Business Award. Again in November 2004, he received a dual award: Best Small, Medium Micro Enterprise Award in Africa and Honorary Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Global Enterprise Management.

He was also decorated with Insignia of Member of The Republic of The Gambia (MRG) by His Excellency, The President of The Republic of The Gambia.
